Guided Holidays

The concept of a BonVoyage Guided Holiday is somewhat unusual, in these days of fast pace and ‘more is more’. Perhaps the antithesis of a ‘European Coach Tour’.   Think small, relaxed, unhurried.   You will join a very small group – minimum 4 guests, maximum 7, plus your guide Maggie, who will accompany you throughout your holiday.  You’ll stay at least 3 nights and as much as a  week  in each destination.  You’ll find a nice mix of planned half days, full days and free days and evenings.  The accommodation throughout the tour is carefully chosen for it’s character and position.   No ‘big name’ hotel chains on the outskirts of the city.     Rather, a B&B or small hotel, in a restored building, perhaps hundreds of years old, right in the Centre.     So in your free time, you’ll be able to explore the area on foot, eat at the local cafes and restaurants, then wander ‘home’ to your familiar bed.   During your days exploring the cities or regions, you’ll be led by local guides or drivers, as well as using public transport where possible.   This is a great way of interacting with the people, whose country  you are visiting.   “Another nice thing about this tour, is the local guides Maggie employs. In each place we stayed, we had the wonderful experience of ’seeing it’ through the eyes of a local, on both the walking tours and the days in the countryside in the minivan”.

With all the details taken care of, you’ll find the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of a small group, provides the perfect setting for your first foray into Europe or your return to favored spots.
